What do I need to know about inadmissibility?

What do I need to know about inadmissibility?

  1. Some people have criminal records that make them inadmissible to Canada. This resource will help you decide if this might be an issue for you:  https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/inadmissibility.html

  2. In order to overcome inadmissibility, you may need to seek an expungement of misdemeanors or felonies. To do that, you should reach out to local expungement clinics in your state or county who can help. A resource for several states is at the following link, but if you don’t see your state there, Google “expungement clinics near me” to find one that can help you. https://www.nacdl.org/Landing/National-Expungement-Clinic-Directory-(1)

  3. If your situation is more complicated and you need legal help, PCAFI has partnered with a Toronto criminal/immigration attorney who can assist you. Her hourly rate is $350CAD, and it is an investment you would need to make personally. If you sign an engagement letter with her, your initial consultation will be free.
    1. Here is her information: Trudi-Ann Newby-Park. Email:Trudi@newbysabetlaw.ca  | 120 Adelaide Street West, suite 2500 Toronto, ON M5H 1T1. Phone (647) 808-4118 (tel:(647)%20808-4118). If you email her, your subject line should say: Inadmissibility - PCAFI Holy Convocation 2025
